“Jenn’s classes are the perfect combination of rigorous vinyasa flow, core work, stretching, and relaxation. I am a runner, cyclist, and swimmer, and Jenn has helped tremendously with my strength and flexibility. The inner peace I find during my practice is an important and necessary part of my weekly routine.”
“The instructors I study with at Menlo Pilates and Yoga in Menlo Park, CA are all extremely qualified, knowledgeable, and considerate teachers – each one with their own special qualities and expertise. Jenn Gaskin stands out as a particularly knowledgeable and considerate instructor, whose awareness of anatomy and body energetics, and a treasury of yogic knowledge, make her a stand-out yoga teacher. Jenn is a real artist, with new techniques and variations every session. She is also a compassionate and loving presence – with a strong sense of humor – as anyone who has attended her classes will testify. I think highly of Jenn, and recommend her classes for any yogis who want to explore some very detailed and nuanced aspects of the ancient art.”
“I have been in physical therapy, and Jenn’s class has helped me learn to manage my pain using yoga stretches. Her sense of humor is also greatly appreciated!”
“Jenn has transformed me and challenged me in so many ways–recovering from a broken scapula my body is stronger than ever! I have such appreciation for yoga and for Jenn!! ”
For private sessions, I offer one-on-one sessions or group sessions of up to 5. Please contact me for scheduling.
“My husband and I took Jenn’s Neck and Shoulder class. We both enjoyed it very much; she is a very knowledgeable and thoughtful instructor. She also provided some individual spot checking during the class to make sure we were in the proper position. I really benefited from the neck exercises. After the class all the tension and knots in my neck were gone and it remained that way for several weeks! It was truly amazing! So I am going to take some more of her classes to continue improving my exercise regime and benefits to my body.”
“I have been practicing yoga under Jenn’s instruction for six years. Yoga has been a consistent part of my life for eighteen years, and I have practiced just about every form and discipline, with a broad spectrum of wonderful teachers over the years — but after discovering Jenn, I’ve been hooked. She is absolutely extraordinary, and I feel so grateful to have discovered her classes. She is a true healer and transcends far beyond what anyone might expect from a standard yoga class. She piece by piece, over time, decodes our complex physiology, helping us understand culprits to chronic pain, and how we can address and reverse those habits in response to and in advance of their debilitating effects. What’s amazing about her ‘way’ is how she can teach and incorporate such concepts through a well-paced class that is welcoming to the beginner, yet challenging for all levels. I leave each week feeling transformed, lightened, soothed, and ready for the rest of my week. I cannot recommend her enough as a guide to heal and improve your health and fitness.”
“I was mis-diagnosed for Interstitial Cystitis (IC)- an absolutely awful disease. I was told instead I have tight pelvic floor muscles and was referred to Jenn. It was a godsend that Jenn was able to give me exercises that will relax my pelvic floor muscles and most of all relax my body and inner mind.
Jenn is patient and caring, every session I had with her, my whole body felt rejuvenated and relaxed. My initial feel sessions with Jenn, when I got home, I got the best sleep! Jenn is an amazing healer!”
“Jenn is so skilled!! She understands the body like no one I’ve ever met. She’s working to help me get back to yoga after years of not being able to, and helping me learn to move and understand my body so that I can keep myself from further injury. Highly recommend her!!”
“Whenever I leave Jenn’s practice, I feel as though I’ve had a workout, a massage, and a therapy session all rolled into one: relaxed, refreshed and rejuvenated. Jenn’s knowledge of the body is unparalleled, and every class builds on the one before so that it feels like a continuum of health and self care. She has made me rethink the way I engage with my body, not just in yoga but in everything I do. I’m so grateful to have found Jenn as she is a true master!”
“I’ve been diagnosed with Meniere’s, and have tried a number of different therapies, both traditional and non traditional approaches. It’s a poorly understood syndrome but one of the theories has to do with the physical impingement on inner ear structures. Given this theory, I tried cranio-therapy with Jenn. After two sessions I have noted a dramatic reduction of symptoms, it was not immediate, but the improvement has been very significant. I intend to continue this treatment. If you deal w/ inner ear related issues, I highly encourage you to try this therapy. ”
